Composite costs more up front and almost nothing to maintain. Hardwood and cedar look and feel better underfoot but want refinishing every few years. We build both and have no preference to sell you.
Most decks run one to three weeks on site once permits are through, depending on levels, footing depth and railing. Hillside builds take longer because access and footings get harder.
Yes. Steep lots are where deck framing gets genuinely structural, and they are some of our favourite projects. Everything gets engineered for the actual grade and soil.
